Get Things Done Quickly with These Tips

Do you wonder why some people are able to accomplish more things than you do when we all have only 24 hours in a day? I personally believe that one reason for this is the use of an effective system which includes strategies that help you manage time and work more effectively.

Kill procrastination - Procrastination keeps most people from accomplishing tasks on time and taking in new tasks. Find out the causes of your procrastination and intentionally arrest them. When you procrastinate, you're more open to distractions. You also lose the sense of urgency to complete tasks.

Overcome perfectionism - Sometimes perfectionism can be a bottleneck in your production process. You could be wasting a lot of energy and time repeating the same tasks because the results are less than perfect. If the details are good enough, submit your work as done and move on to the next task.

Reduce mental clutter - A clutter-free mind has a sharpened focus. Hence, you will be able to accomplish tasks quicker and with good quality. Before starting with your work, take at least five to ten minutes to relax your body and mind. Focus your mind on accomplishing your tasks for the day. Leave your worries or plans to have fun behind in order to have an undivided attention on your work.

Disregard unimportant tasks - Work or tasks can be identified as important and unimportant; urgent and not urgent. You could lose a great deal of time simply by accomplishing a bunch of unimportant tasks. Prioritize important and/or urgent tasks. Work on them without excuses so that you can extra time for smaller tasks.

Set aside some cash in different compartments of your wallet.   Ever found some extra cash in your wallet? Did you feel happy finding them "out of nowhere"? I know I did. Carry less cash.   Withdraw just enough money from your bank. The idea is to hold lesser cash. When you open your wallet and find that you only have $5, chances are you're less likely to spend it. Of course, if you do need to spend it, you'll have to withdraw money from your ATM card. This gives you more time to think w

Do you want to improve on your vocabulary? If so, then you need to do this as soon as possible. Read books. Yes, isn't that easy? You can start with books that you are more interested about. In my case, I love to read self help / self improvement books. So what I do is to set aside a time to do a quiet reading. Quiet reading for me means that I dedicate a day for reading a book. I keep a pace that is manageable, stopping from time to time to write some notes, highlight some texts and underline some words that I cannot understand. Then I use my dictionary or iPad to know the meaning of the word and write a quick note in it if I am holding a physical book. If not, I just write it in a little notebook and save it for future reading. Then I look for ways to use that word in conversations. I ask for feedback if I am using it right, then I focus on doing it with the next word and so on. See, it is easy to improve on your vocabulary. Just dedicate a time to read books that interest yo
