Different Learning Curve

Where do you go to study? As a kid, I just stayed in my room, laid all books and notes on the table and read for hours. As I grow up, I've learned that I am allowed to study in different places and that helped me get better grades in my written exams. Here are some spots where I find studying really interesting. Your own room If you have the room to yourself, then take advantage of it and begin reading your notes in your own room. If you share this with your siblings or other relatives, then you can talk to them and arrange a schedule on where you can use this room for yourself so you can focus on reading and studying. School library It makes sense to use this area for studying but there's another reason for using this school facility - the convenience of getting more information as you review. It is just a common feeling especially when you feel that you will be sized up, labelled and identified based on what you know (and remember). Want to know how to ace those tests? Here are some ways to prepare for your next exam. Know the coverage of the exam. This is the best tip that I can share with you. Doing this will enable you to cover the topics included in the exam. This may come along as common sense, but I have seen some people commit this mistake by going out and isolate themselves right away without knowing what you really need to focus on. Use this opportunity to ask questions if anything is not clear on the topics included in the exam so you have better chances of hitting it right when the big day arrives. Divide and conquer. In my case, I love to read self help / self improvement books. So what I do is to set aside a time to do a quiet reading. Quiet reading for me means that I dedicate a day for reading a book. I keep a pace that is manageable, stopping from time to time to write some notes, highlight some texts and underline some words that I cannot understand. Then I use my dictionary or iPad to know the meaning of the word and write a quick note in it if I am holding a physical book. If not, I just write it in a little notebook and save it for future reading. Then I look for ways to use that word in conversations. I ask for feedback if I am using it right, then I focus on doing it with the next word and so on. See, it is easy to improve on your vocabulary. I am all for multimedia. People would definitely appreciate if you have videos on your site to explain what your company is all about. It beats a long boring corporate sounding company profile anytime. However, you should be careful with using video. It is not advisable to use video that plays automatically when you load the page. This is one of those web design mistakes that we tend to commit in the spirit of going all out for new media. Give your visitor the option to actually decide if he wants to see the video or not.
